Every bar on this guide has been visited in person by someone on our team. We don't accept payment for placement, and we only list places we'd recommend to a friend. If a bar closes, changes owners and drops in quality, or no longer fits, we remove it.
Regularly. Bangkok's bar scene moves fast — openings, closures, and renovations happen every month. We refresh listings, photos, and hours as we learn about changes. If you spot something out of date, let us know.
On the homepage, type a bar name or a neighborhood into the search bar and results filter as you type. You can search by name (e.g. 'Tichuca') or by area (e.g. 'Sukhumvit').
Tap Nearby Active and, with your permission, the guide uses your device's location to sort bars by distance from you. It's the fastest way to find something worth drinking near where you're standing.
Open Map launches a full interactive map of every bar in the guide, styled in dark mode with English labels. Tap a pin to open that bar's bio and directions.
We use $, $$, and $$$ as a rough guide. $ is a budget-friendly night (think beer bars and pub pours), $$ is a typical cocktail bar, and $$$ is the high-end rooftop and speakeasy tier. Drink prices in Bangkok vary widely, so treat it as a hint, not a guarantee.
Yes. Click any bar photo to open a quick-view with two tabs: Bio (a short write-up of the bar) and Directions (how to get there).
No — this guide is Bangkok only, for now. We focus on the neighborhoods we know well: Sukhumvit, Thong Lo, Sathorn, Silom, Siam, Chinatown, and the riverside.
